Now I'm not very good with introductions, which is why I put it off for so long, but I have nothing to lose, so here goes nothing.
I've been an member on here for quite some time, but I only commented here and there. Now that I've had authorship status for a while and some cool stuff has been coming my way lately, I figured it was time I started to share some of that.
Just a few things about me:
I'm in my senior year of high school out on Long Island.
I'm a die hard Subaru and Porsche fan.
Pictured above is my first car, bought no more than a month ago. It is a 1998 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS, in the classic Rally Blue Pearl and with a manual of course.
Sitting in my dad's garage is his 1976 Porsche 911S, that has been under restoration by myself and my dad for the last three years.(Post about that soon) It's also the yellow car pictured in my avatar.
In 2000, my dad built a 911RSR and raced it for the following three years at various PCA event, including Rennsport 1. Bar none, that is my favorite piece of my childhood. Plenty of pictures to come from that, and even some on board video too.
Other than that I'm just your average high school car nut, who will work on anything he can get his hands onto. Seeing as I've lurked and been a member for about two and a half years now, I'm pretty familiar with most of you. Hopefully in the near future, I will be making more posts and commenting more often! Oh, and let me know what I should post about next. I'm still deciding between the race car stuff, the '76 resto, my car, and a quick post about the 356 my grandfather had back in the day. Thanks for reading! :)

Thanks for sharing. Man I wish my father was as car-crazy as I was. I always envy those that had the chance to work on or restore a classic with their dad. Cliche, I know.. but I'd have loved it. Great car to restore to, very jelous.

Haha I'm not sure it could, and yes that was his RSR. Technically it was never his as he built it for the dealership he worked at, but he, along with his friend, did everything for that car. They built it together, my dad drove it, and his friend crewed for him. The dealer sold it back in late '03 I think. It since has been painted orange, and had the engine and gearbox changed out of it I only know that because it was just for sale on ebay, like last week. I wish I knew who has it now.

Hahaha thank you! I searched for one of these for over a year before I found the right one. They are not as common as you might think and many have either been heavily modified or have tremendous amounts of rust. But once the weather gets nicer there will definitely be more pictures taken of it.

Welcome. For your tardiness in introducing yourself you get 3 knuckle slaps with a ruler from a Catholic School Nun and you must say four Hail Mary's. And.... you get the DD welcome:
You'll be sorrrrry....This is a land where things are not as they seem and before you realize there is no escape, you are trapped.....This, my friends, is the OPPO ZONE.

As am I myself. Just have to figure out how I want to write it. At the moment we're putting it back together. It came back from paint a few weeks ago and the paint has finally set enough to where we can start putting pieces on.

wow, impressive first car. sad that the 98 RS didn't get the WRX bumper, but I do adore your blue and gold colour scheme, and how can you not love a subaru piled in snow

Thank you, and yea it is a little disappoimting, but since the bumper on it is a little beat up I think I'm gonna swap it over in the coming months. But yea if you can't love a subaru covered in snow your not human haha.

Ahh yes, the V1-4 bumper. I do actually like that one better than the V5-6 bumper. Granted they're much less available and I need the JDM beam for it seeing as non of the beams we got fit it, but if it became available to me at a reasonable price, I can't see why I wouldn't go with that. If I did go with that one though, I would definitely look for the factory 3 piece lip as it looks so right on it.

mine was imported at great expense then broken by its previous owner. the jdm lightweight support beam needed some gentle hammering and the bumper needed some fibreglass. totally worth it ! :)

Well I have to say, it does look rather good on that sedan. Especially with the early headlights. :)
